Creating a School Website

School's push into the modern day, along with the rest of the world's, is helped along its way with various websites--ones for clubs, sports, activities, even the school itself, and they pop up everywhere. If that's what you were planning on creating, this is the page for you! When working, remember to keep your tone friendly and encouraging, while trying to sound like a teacher or other respected staff member, and not like a young child that might happen to attend the school. The level of which this should be done varies on the school's own level, and as follows. An elementary/primary school should have a vocabulary that's easy to understand, along with a nearly saccharinely sweet tone of voice (parents will complain if you don't). A junior high/middle school should host a tone that's rather close to conversational. And a senior high school's website is recommended to be presented in a way that's exactly how a teacher would speak to their students. As you build pages, remember to keep things consistent, along with to a regular theme that's easy to get, but also not quite as simple as a casual website's theme.

Maintaining a School Website

The passing of years doesn't stop for anything, this is especially true for schools. So, you'll want to update your school website regularly, lest you not and lose valuable student 'hits' on your website. Anytime something's going to happen that involves students, put it up on the website! Even if it's a teacher-only type of thing, post a little bit about it, so students aren't left entirely in the dark. Of course, topics covered should relate pretty much only to school, or at least have some sort of significance to the majority of the school's population. Like a casual website, if you plan to update anything across the entire website, announce it beforehand and then do it all at once (of course, at a time of low traffic).
