I'm here to share tips and tricks on navigating through the halls and everyday life of Rangeview!
I realize that being new to a school whether as a freshman or transfer student can be really daunting and difficult, I know because I've been there so here are a few tips that will help your first at Rangeview as painless as possible.
School Guide: Lunch

Tips for Lunch
- Check school lunches that are posted on school bulletin boards and online.
- If you don’t like your lunch, trade it.
- Get in line early and buy for friends.
- No food or money? Make an instant pot-luck with friends.
- Remember to not eat like a pig.
- Don't eat any stinky foods or foods that make you have gas.
- Don't use your shirt as a napkin.
Tips for the First Day 
- Avoid over stuffing your bag
- Get a haircut two weeks before school
- September - Summer, don't wear winter clothes
- Stay together when possible
- No class is ever full, ask the teacher
- Expect surprises
- Don't wear the fluffy coat
- Don't lose your key
- Be yourself
- Try to make new friends
- Stay positive
- Stay close to your friends
- Be on your BEST behavior, you don't want to get on the teachers bad side.
- Set goals for yourself during the school year.
- Try to study before class.
- Make sure you have all your school supplies.
- Pick out clothes that show who you are to make a first impression.
- Pay attention to the rules and then when you come home memorize them so you don't have to later on.
School Guide: Locker
- Keep your locker clean
- Be courteous and friendly to locker-neighbors
- Sit closest to the door in order to get to your locker faster
- Use the one-turn (preset the first two locker numbers)
- Try to keep your locker organized in order to retrieve your books faster
- Use the fast walk to get to your locker faster
- Pin your school schedule on your locker door so you know exactly what books needed
School Guide: Mondays 
- Wear your all time favorite outfit on Mondays.
- Make Mondays ‘Favorite Lunch Days’.
- Make Monday fun - day.
School Guide: Teachers 
- Always listen to what the teacher is saying.
- Try to do as much homework as you can in class so that you don't have much to do at home.
- Helping the teacher out doesn't make you a teachers pet.
- Don't be afraid to raise your hand. It doesn't mean your dumb.
- Take notes when the teacher is talking.
School Guide: Hallways
- Beware of “The Reverse Commute”.
- Find alternate routes if you have a reverse commute.
- You can talk to friends (or that special someone), but make it snappy.
- Never get caught running or without a pass
- Stay away from bullies.
- Get a map of the school to chart the quickest path for different classes or occasions.
School Guide: Making New Friends
- Don't judge someone because of their clothes or face.
- Ask people to join your table and make friends.
School Guide: Tests 
- Face the facts for multiple choice.
- Never second guess, you’re first answer is probably right.
- Study hard to do good
- Go with a study group before the test starts.
- Take a week to be a geek.
- Study every night when you go to sleep.
- Ask a teacher if you don't get something.
- Always have flash cards handy so you can make any time a study time.
School Guide: Cell Phones

- Never make a call while doing something else.
- Always recharge your battery. Because you don't want your phone to run out during an emergency.
- Keep it in your lockers.
- Turn off your phone when you get to school you don't want people to call you in class.
- Don't let a lot of people use your phone unless it's an emergency.
- When you "talk walk" make sure you look forward.
- Only call when you are NOT in class. Otherwise teachers will keep your phone for the rest of the week.
School Guide: Behavior 
- Your permanent record follows you to college and life,so don't do bad things.
- If you do good things, good things could happen in return.
